It was an awesome day. The temperature started out at -8 C (17 F) in Dornoch and so much frost was on the ground it looked like snow; but it was considerably warmer in Skye. Maybe just above freezing? We saw some beautiful sites, it was incredible. Pictures are never as good as being there, but maybe they'll give you an idea of how great it is!
We took a short hike to the top of this hill. It didn't take long, but it was so steep!
View from the top.
Can you believe we actually fit through those rocks?
They say the middle top part looks like a Kilt, hard to tell from far away.
Today I got to see a little slice of heaven.

Wow, how beautiful! It looks like your in Lord of the Rings. It must be warm. You don't have your coat on.
Well, I don't know if I'd say warm...I guess it's all relative. And we weren't out of the car for very long to need my long coat.
Amazing! Simply amazing. I can see the beauty in the pictures. How much more awesome it is in person.
Jen....There is a beautiful Scottish lullaby called Skye Boat Song that supposedly was sung to baby James, son of Mary Queen of Scots, a looong time ago as he was being taken to safety on the Island of Skye (people were attempting to kill his mom as Mary's presence on the earth was threatening to her cousin Queen Elizabeth I. I hope you can hear it while you're there!
